Joshua Grové
I am 10-year-old Joshua Grové from Pretoria. What makes me awesome is my big heart. I care a lot about the wellbeing of other people and animals. In future I want to use my platforms to set a good example to other people and inspire them to be the best version of themselves.
I have a few talents and interests including acrobatics, tumbling, mini-trampoline, dancing and acting. Talent alone will only get you so far. Hard work and practice will make you achieve your goals. Having people around you who believe in you is also a bonus. I am at ACE Models Pretoria East. Lisa helps me to improve myself in the field of modelling.
I currently have National Federation colours for acrobatics. North Gauteng colours in tumbling. I came first in the 2022 Gym Games for tumbling level 4 boys under 10. I have ended under the top 5 in various dance competitions.
I love music from the 80’s. I listen to Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, AC/DC, Guns and Roses, Twisted Sister and Queen. I know Bohemian Rhapsody off by heart. The current song l am dancing on is November Rain from Guns and Roses.
When I grow up, I want to become a dance coach. I like dancing and would like to show people new dance moves. I spent a lot of time to invent new dance sequences and moves.
The most influential person in my life is Nadia Comaneci from Romania. She was the first gymnast to achieve a perfect 10 at the Olympic Games. One of my biggest goals is to get a gold Olympic medal in gymnastics.
I have played in an advertisement and in a short film. In future I want to excel in all these areas.
Mia Coetzee
My name is Mia, I’m an international model. I grew up in South Africa and currently reside in New Zealand. I started modelling at the age of 10 where I competed in numerous pageants and beauty competitions. In 2019 I competed in the annual Miss Teen SA where I took home the crown. I moved to New Zealand, and I’m currently signed with a top agency in New Zealand.
I started my modelling journey with Ace Models Pretoria East at the age of ten. I didn’t have any previous experience with modelling before I joined Ace Models. Over the course of three years at Ace Models, I had all the necessary modelling training. I was taught ramp walking skills and good public speaking skills. With Ace Models I was also exposed to many opportunities like photoshoots and competitions.
I remember walking into Ace Models Pretoria East for the first time and being greeted by a very friendly face. Little did I know what a big role she would play in my life. From the very first interaction I had with Lisa; I knew I would be able to learn a lot from her. I used to be a very shy girl but with Lisa’s mentorship I have grown into an incredibly confident and sophisticated young adult.
I have learned so much under Lisa’s guidance and I continue to learn from her every day. She has taught me many valuable lessons that I continue to live by. She has also helped me develop and evolve within my modelling career by training and exposing me to many rewarding opportunities. Lisa has an enormous passion for working and helping young individual girls like me, to learn how to grow into beautiful young ladies and to have the necessary tools to achieve that. She has truly played such a big role in who I am today.
Under Lisa’s guidance and mentorship over the past 5 years of my life I have not only grown as a model but also as an individual into a much more confident and independent young girl. I continue to learn from her, and I know that she has the ability to make a difference in the lives of many other young individuals.
